Whether you want to stay put or explore, Nice is the perfect base.
Nice and the Old TownWhatever you require from a holiday Nice provides it in abundance. You can sunbathe on the beach (a few minutes away), walk, cycle or rollerblade along the famous promenade des Anglais (all 5km of it!).
For museums you are spoilt for choice -
Musee Dufy, Musee Matisse, Musee Marc-Chagall etc.
For opera and concerts there is the world famous
Nice Opera House, just 2 minutes from the apartment.
Something always seems to be happening in Nice. There are year round exhibitions, concerts and festivals. On an international scale there is the jazz festival in July and the famous Nice Carnival in February.
Walk through the
Old Town with its maze of winding streets, little restaurants and cafes, tiny shops, galleries and little squares for al fresco eating.
From the apartment you can stroll through the narrow cobbled streets of this mediaeval town and visit the many specialist shops selling everything from cheeses to locally made sweets and perfumes (the renowned perfume shop,
maison de la Lavande, is next door to the apartment building).
In Place Rossetti treat yourself to an ice cream from the finest ice cream specialist in the whole of France and sit and watch the world go by.
